Our arts therapists

All our arts therapists are registered with the Health Care Professions Council and are qualified up to a masters degree level.  All arts therapists are required to have regular supervision and take steps to ensure their professional practice is the best it can be.

We work with arts therapists who have experience of working with children and young people, helping people take steps forward to recover from trauma, sexual abuse, bereavement, anxiety and depression, loss and change.  Many of our team have a specialism (e.g. autism, eating disorders) so do ask for more information and we’ll be happy to discuss how you can complete a referral and answer any questions you have.

Our arts therapists are:

Craig Barrett – DramatherapistYAHT_slide3

Laura Blatherwick – Dramatherapist

Clare Burke – Art Therapist

Nikki Cripps – Dramatherapist

Amy Gunther – Dramatherapist

Anna Worrell – Dramatherapist

Our artists

For our arts opportunities, we work with artists who have excellent experience in not only their art form, but also adapting their work to meet the needs and ideas of the people they are working with.  Our artists all understand how the process of being creative is just as important as the product we have to show at the end of a project.

We employ, and/or work in partnership with, professional artists and participatory arts practitioners. We seek to work together to meet the needs and aspirations of the young people we work with.  We have on our books specialists in drama and theatre, digital arts, street dance, art, photography and print making amongst other things.
