Hi, I’m Teri and I am a HCPC registered Art Psychotherapist.

I love working with children and young people, and I value how art therapy can offer a gentle and creative space to express feelings, especially when words are hard to find or anxiety gets in the way.

My professional background includes co-facilitating community art projects and supporting adults with learning disabilities. I have also provided art therapy for children and young people who have experienced significant trauma, as well as those with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs and special educational needs (SEN). In addition, I have worked within NHS inpatient and community Adult Acute Mental Health services, which has given me a broad understanding of the many ways art therapy can be helpful. These experiences alongside a lived experience of learning disabilities have shaped the empathy and sensitivity I bring to my work.

Alongside my role as an art therapist, I also work in a school for pupils with autistic spectrum conditions, which continues to shape my appreciation of how creative approaches can foster connection, communication and growth.

On a personal note, I am a practising artist who enjoys painting with acrylics on canvas, as well as sewing, knitting and crocheting. I also love walking and am currently part way through walking the Southwest Coastal Path, as well as the Bath-to-London route along the canal paths.
